Like other OpenOffice.org applications, Calc has several dozen options in how it is formatted and operates. These options are available from Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org Calc. Thanks to OpenOffice.org’s habit of sharing code between applications, some of the tabs for these options resemble those found in other OpenOffice.org applications. Others are unique to Calc and the business of spreadsheets. Either way, the more you know about Calc’s options, the more you can take control of your work.

Trieste, 18 giugno 2007 – L’Associazione PLIO, Progetto Linguistico Italiano OpenOffice.org, annuncia la disponibilità di OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 in italiano. Si tratta di una versione della suite per ufficio che non introduce particolari novità ma risolve alcuni problemi di stabilità e sicurezza, per cui il PLIO ne suggerisce l’installazione a tutti gli utenti della versione 2.2 e delle versioni precedenti.

OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 in italiano può essere scaricato, nelle versioni per i diversi sistemi operativi, all’indirizzo http://it.openoffice.org/download/. Le altre versioni linguistiche possono essere scaricate all’indirizzo http://download.openoffice.org.

OpenOffice.org ha modificato la propria strategia di rilascio delle nuove versioni a partire dalla 2.2, secondo un calendario che prevede ogni sei mesi l’introduzione di nuove funzionalità nella versione 2.x, seguito a circa tre mesi di distanza da una release di manutenzione 2.x.x che risolve i problemi di stabilità e sicurezza.
